Street Style Inspiration for Your Fall Wardrobe: 10 Different Looks & Ideas
I know, I know… fall can’t be here aleeady, right?! Just yesterday my kids were at the pool with their friends. But then the temperature dropped overnight and all of a sudden I’m pulling coats and beanies out of storage.
Sound familiar? Looks like it’s time to start evaluating our fall wardrobe. (And to be honest, fall is one of the best seasons for fashion, isn’t it?! The layers, the hats, the scarves, the cozy sweaters…)
Here are 10 street style looks to inspire you (and me!) as we start dressing for cooler weather:
1) Throw a turtleneck underneath a dress for warmth and then add practical sporty layers like tennis shoes, a baseball cap, and a fanny pack.
2) A sweater dress paired with ankle boots. Done and done.
3) A boxy jean jacket layered over a long thin coat (or even an unbuttoned dress) with simple jeans and turtleneck underneath.
4) Mainly neutrals but with one pop of color echoed in your socks, top, and scarf. Also, socks with sandals! I love this for the transition months in spring and fall.
5) A flowy statement maxi dress with platform boots. Done and done again. (Dresses make things easy!)
6) Stylish tomboy basics with a pop of color in the socks, the wool cap, and the bag.
7) Patterned vest (or sweater, sweatshirt, coat, etc.) on top of patterned shirt and then keep it simple below the belt. (Side note: how great are the silver rings on every single finger?!)
8) A fun and fairly unexpected combo: Sweatshirt + skirt. Add boots, tights, and a turtleneck for extra warmth.
9) Dress up a utilitarian jumpsuit with a heeled boot and a small crossbody leather bag. Also, color blocking!
10) A sheer raincoat layered over simple pants and shirt with a statement sneaker.
